Veranda Panda is the creative collaboration of Liam and Jane Magner. Over the past fifteen years, they have built a reputation as one of South Africa’s most original live acts. Their performances reflect their shared love of music, culture, storytelling, and connection.

Liam Magner
Producer, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist. Liam is the driving force behind the Veranda Panda sound, orchestrating beats, samples, and live electronics into a fluid, responsive performance.
Violin Meets Machines
Jane Magner
Violinist, vocalist with an occasional side of decorative piano. Jane brings classical training, emotional depth, and stage command. Her violin leads are melodic and sharp, shaping the musical identity of the duo.
The VP Drumline
For festival-scale events, Veranda Panda is joined by live drummers under the banner of the VPDrumline. This added layer of energy and visual impact elevates the show into a full-scale experience that feels both tribal and modern.
